Two more shows violate regulations

JAKARTA (JP): Two more entertainment centers will be punished for violating New Year's Eve regulations, an official said.

Toha Reno, an official from the City Public Order Office, said yesterday that the parties held at Hotel Wisata International on Jl. Thamrin, and at Ponderosa restaurant on Jl. Gatot Subroto were held in violation of the regulations.

Toha said that both places sold illegal tickets for special shows. According to regulation tickets for special shows must be legalized by the City Revenue Office.

"The office will report this to the governor in a meeting tomorrow and the punishment will also be decided there," Toha said yesterday.

He said that as punishment the city will fine these establishments or close them down for a month.

Seven other entertainment centers, including restaurants, company parties and discotheques were also found violating the regulation by failing to obtain the special New Year's eve operating permit and violating the opening hours. (yns)
