Two More NTB DPRD Members Acquitted in 'Uang Siluman' Graft Case

The Mataram Corruption Court (Tipikor) has acquitted two more members of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) in a gratuity case involving so-called ‘uang siluman’ (slush funds) within the council. The verdict means all three defendants in the case have now been acquitted.

The two acquitted defendants are Indra Jaya Usman (IJU) from the Democratic Party and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman, also known as Acip, from the Perindo Party.

“Declares the defendants not legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing corruption jointly as charged in the primary, subsidiary, and more subsidiary charges by the public prosecutor,” stated the panel of judges, chaired by Dewi Santini with members Gede Trisnajaya Susila and Irawan Ismail, on Wednesday (5/8/2026) evening.

The panel also ordered the restoration of the defendants’ rights. “Restores the defendants’ rights in all capabilities, positions, dignity, and honour,” the judge added.

The public prosecutor had charged the two defendants under the primary charge of Article 605 paragraph (1) letter a, the subsidiary charge of Article 605 paragraph (1) letter b, and the more subsidiary charge of Article 606 paragraph (1) of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments and Article 18 of Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001.

Prosecutors had previously demanded a prison sentence of one year and six months for IJU, along with a fine of IDR 400 million, subsidiary to six months’ confinement, and restitution of IDR 100 million, subsidiary to three months’ confinement. For Acip, prosecutors sought a prison sentence of one year and six months and a fine of IDR 100 million, subsidiary to three months’ confinement.

The two defendants were tried alongside Hamdan Kasim of the Golkar Party, who was previously acquitted. The case originated from the ‘Desa Berdaya’ (Empowered Village) programme, a priority initiative of NTB Governor Lalu Muhammad Iqbal with a budget allocation of IDR 76 billion through a gubernatorial directive. The programme was intended for members of the NTB DPRD for the 2024-2029 term, and the three defendants were asked to socialise it to other council members. However, the programme’s budget had not yet been disbursed.
