Two more Myanmarese deported

SORONG, Papua: The Sorong Immigration Office deported on Thursday Myanmar nationals Myat Kyaw Thu and Myiat Naing Oe for visa violations.

"They were arrested on Wednesday in the Kaldemak beach area here, and we decided to deport them for visa violations," Sorong Immigration Office head Achmad Widodo said.

Tws other Myanmar nationals, Kyaw and Soe, were deported on Monday by Sorong immigration officials.

The Myanmar nationals were all deported because they did not possess visas, Achmad said.

Achmad said Myat Kyaw Thu and Myiat Naing Oe were being flown to Jakarta, from where they would be flown to Myanmar.

He said immigration officials were looking for two other Myanmar nationals who were reportedly still in Sorong.

He said the six Myanmar nationals arrived in Sorong recently on board a fishing boat. -- JP
