Two missing in boat accident

JEPARA, Central Java: Two people are missing since a motorboat with 16 passengers capsized during a storm in Karimunjawa waters.

Fishermen rescued 14 passengers and sent them to the Karimunjawa health center. The two others are feared dead.

One of the survivors said the boat was spun about and flipped over during a violent storm. The upper portion of the boat was smashed into pieces. Those who could swim managed to grab the fragments and survive.

The chief of the Karimunjawa health center said the survivors were suffering from shock and various injuries.(har/sim)
