Two-Metre-High Floodwaters Inundate Periuk Damai Housing Estate in Tangerang, Residents Evacuated

Relief personnel evacuated residents affected by flooding in Perumahan Periuk Damai, Tangerang City, Banten, on Sunday 8 March 2026. The operation, led by the police with volunteers from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the Scouts (Pramuka), and the BPBD, sought to ensure the safety of residents as floodwaters rose to as high as two metres due to the overflow of Kali Sabi, triggered by heavy rainfall on Saturday 7 March. Brimob Polda Metro Jaya personnel assisted in the evacuation using rubber boats.
