Two Men Riding Motorcycle the Wrong Way Crash into Taxi on Cijago Toll Road; One Dead

Two men riding a motorcycle against the flow of traffic collided with a taxi on the Cijago Toll Road in Depok, West Java. One of the motorcyclists died in the incident.

“The deceased victim was identified by the initials AO, aged 25,” Depok Metro Police Traffic Accident Unit chief Inspector Pujiono said in a statement on Tuesday (13 October 2026).

The crash occurred in the early hours of Tuesday (13 October) at kilometre 47+00 B of the Cijago Toll Road in Depok. The taxi driver was travelling westbound from the east in lane three.

“At the same time, a Honda CB 150 R motorcycle, registration B-4008-BFV, was travelling against the flow of traffic,” he said.

The taxi driver tried to avoid the motorcycle by moving left into lane two. The motorcyclist also moved into the same lane as the taxi.

“As the distance was already too short and there was no way to avoid it, the vehicles collided head-on,” Pujiono said.

AO was pronounced dead at the scene, while his companion, identified as RW, 25, suffered a mouth injury and a broken left leg. RW was taken to GPI Hospital in Depok.
