Two Men in Dompu Shot with Arrows After Social Media Feud

Two men from Manggeasi village, Dompu District, Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Zulfikar (23) and Muas (20), became victims of an arrow attack. They were shot by MN (29) following a mutual insult exchange on the social media platform Facebook. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening (25/6). Each victim had an arrow lodged in their body, specifically in the abdomen and the right upper arm. Both were immediately rushed to hospital by residents. Dompu Police Public Relations Head, Iptu I Nyoman Suardika, explained that the two victims had recklessly gone to MN’s house and committed vandalism and threw objects, resulting in damage to the roof and windows of the house, after the exchange of insults on Facebook. “The incident stemmed from a dispute and mutual commenting on Facebook,” Suardika clarified in his statement on Thursday (25/6/2026). After the vandalism, victim Zulfikar returned to the location suspected to be the source of the dispute. While passing on the main road in Lingkungan Jado, the victim was allegedly shot by the perpetrator, with the arrow striking his right arm. “Not long after, victim Muas, who came looking for Zulfikar, was also allegedly targeted in the arrow attack and sustained an injury to his right rib,” he said. Suardika continued that after receiving the police report, officers proceeded to the scene. Shortly thereafter, police managed to secure MN, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of the arrow attack on the two victims. “Through swift and measured efforts, officers successfully secured the suspected perpetrator,” he stated.
