Two men detained for murder

JAKARTA (JP): After killing a man to avenge their father's
murder, Salamudin (25) and Darussalam (23) were detained by the
East Jakarta district police for murder.

Suyata, the victim, was murdered by the two men after the
victim's son, now a fugitive, murdered Salamudin's and
Darusalam's father, Saut, one week ago.

According to a spokesman of the East Jakarta district police
who refused to be identified, the murders were triggered by a
land dispute between the two families.

Police said they were still investigating the case and
therefore refused to divulge the details of the crime.

"It could have been caused by a land dispute or a fight over
inheritance," the police said.

The crime took place at Suyata's house in Duren Sawit, East
Jakarta, where the two men stabbed him to death with a sword.
