Two Men Caught on CCTV Stealing Motorcycle at Jimbaran Boarding House
Two men were recorded by CCTV cameras entering the parking area of a boarding house and stealing a motorcycle belonging to a resident on Jalan Raya Uluwatu II, Jimbaran, South Kuta, Badung. The theft occurred in the early hours of Monday (17/8/2026).
Denpasar Police Public Relations Head Iptu I Gede Adi Saputra Jaya said the victim, Suryati, had parked her motorcycle in the boarding house area on Monday at around 02.00 Wita. However, when she went to use the motorcycle at around 11.00 Wita, the vehicle was no longer in its original place.
“Based on the complainant’s statement, the motorcycle was last seen parked at the scene on Monday, 17 August 2026, at around 02.00 Wita. Then at around 11.00 Wita she intended to take the motorcycle to buy food, but the motorcycle was no longer where it had been parked,” he said on Wednesday (19/7/2026).
After discovering her motorcycle was missing, Suryati searched and asked people around the location. However, the motorcycle was not found. Suryati then checked the CCTV footage in the boarding house area.
“It was observed that at around 03.18 Wita, two unknown men had stolen the motorcycle,” he continued.
In the CCTV footage, two men wearing helmets and black clothing can be seen. One of the perpetrators appeared to be keeping watch from a distance, while the other took the victim’s red Honda Scoopy parked in front of a boarding house room.
The motorcycle was easily taken because the handlebars were not locked. The perpetrator then pushed the motorcycle out of the boarding house area.
As a result of the incident, the victim lost one red 2026 Honda Scoopy motorcycle. The loss is estimated at Rp 24 million.
The incident was subsequently reported to the South Kuta Police for further handling. Currently, the South Kuta Police Criminal Investigation Unit has launched an investigation into the report. Police have also visited the scene, taken statements from the victim, and examined the CCTV footage at the crime scene.
