Two Main Post-Armuzna Focuses for Hajj Operations
As of the 44th day of Hajj operations on Friday (5/6/2026), a total of 27,086 Indonesian pilgrims from 69 flight groups have been repatriated from Makkah. The repatriation phase from Makkah will continue until 15 June, after which the repatriation phase from Madinah will commence. Meanwhile, the second wave of pilgrims will soon enter Madinah on 7 June. Consequently, the Amirul Hajj delegation, led by Indonesia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, arrived in the Prophet’s City earlier to ensure all pilgrim necessities, including accommodation, catering, and healthcare services, are ready. ‘Because the conclusion of the peak Hajj (Armuzna) does not mean the end of Hajj services. Generally, the appreciation from various parties has been quite good, so we must maintain this performance until the end of the operational period,’ said Gus Irfan during a media briefing at the Madinah Working Area office on Thursday (4/6/2026). He noted that the Amirul Hajj delegation had visited two kitchens in Madinah to ensure no meals were substandard. Although pilgrims have so far appreciated the provided meals, any negligence in the final month would result in negative feedback.
