Members of the House of Representatives Commission XIII, Yanuar Arif Wibowo, are pushing for the establishment of an independent Joint Fact-Finding Team (TGPF) in the attempted murder case against activist Andrie Yunus. According to the legislator from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the formation of the TGPF is not only to clarify the case being handled but also to ensure that the commitment to fair law enforcement is felt by the victim. “Of course, we are pushing for the establishment of a TGPF in the Andrie case,” said Yanuar when met at the DPR, MPR, and DPD Complex on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR, Andreas Hugo Pareira, assessed that the attempted murder case against Andrie Yunus is not merely a criminal incident. This case constitutes a human rights (HAM) violation.

Andreas urged President Prabowo Subianto to form an independent TGPF to thoroughly investigate and ensure that the legal process runs transparently, objectively, and accountably. “This incident will only become clear if President Prabowo follows up on his statement by ordering the formation of a TGPF,” said Andreas via WhatsApp message on Monday.

The legislator from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) explained that the formation of an independent TGPF is important in handling the Andrie case. Because, after three weeks since the acid splashing incident occurred, the legal process running in the police and TNI appears to be dragging.

The police, he said, although they have identified the perpetrators, have instead handed over the legal process to the Military Police Centre. On the TNI Puspom side, four soldiers from the Strategic Intelligence Agency who are the perpetrators have indeed been stated to have been detained. “However, the faces of the perpetrators have not yet been shown to the public, and today’s news mentions that the case file is already complete. It is not surprising if the public suspects there is an escape scenario,” said this PDIP politician.

Nevertheless, he continued, the formation of an independent TGPF is also in line with President Prabowo’s statement at a friendly match held in mid-March in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java. In that friendly match, Prabowo assessed the acid splashing case against Andrie as terrorism—a violent act that must be investigated to find out who ordered it, including who funded it.

Andreas stated that the President guaranteed that he would not protect if this case has connections to state apparatus. “This means the President wants this investigation not only to reach the field perpetrators but also the intellectual authors,” he said.

In a separate opportunity, the Head of Military Auditor 07-II Jakarta, Colonel Corps of Law (Chk) Andri Wijaya, said that his institution has completed the examination related to formal and material requirements in the Andrie Yunus case file.

According to him, the file is currently being processed to send the minutes of opinion and legal opinion suggestions from the Auditor to the Case Submitting Officer to issue the Case Submission Decision Letter or Skeppera. “The case file has been declared complete,” he said via WhatsApp message on Monday.

Andrie was doused with corrosive chemical liquid on 12 March while passing through Jalan Salemba I-Talang, Central Jakarta. Medical records state that the Deputy Coordinator of Kontras suffered burns of more than 20 percent due to the attack carried out by those TNI BAIS soldiers. Based on information from the Military Police Centre, there are four splashing perpetrators. They are NDP, SL, BHW, and ES, who come from the air and sea branches.
