Two Landslide Victims in Subang Found Dead
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Basarnas stated that two victims of the landslide disaster who were previously reported missing in the Mayang Village area, Cisalak District, Subang, West Java, have been found dead.
Deputy for Operations of Basarnas, Edy Prakoso, in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday, said that the two victims were found dead after a search process that had been carried out since this morning, involving a joint SAR team from various agencies.
“At 07.30 WIB, the joint SAR team held a briefing and divided the search tasks. Furthermore, at 08.00 WIB, an area assessment was carried out using a thermal drone to speed up the search for the victims,” he said.
Basarnas, through the Bandung SAR Office, confirmed that the first victim, named Winda Lianbong (20), was found at 11.23 WIB at coordinates 6°46’37.2”S 107°45’07.7”E. Not far from that location, the team then found the second victim named Alda Apriliani (22).
After both victims were found, the joint SAR team immediately carried out the evacuation process to the victim’s homes. “All victims have been successfully evacuated at 12.59 WIB,” added the Head of the Bandung SAR Office, Ade Dian Permana.
With the discovery of all victims, the SAR operation was officially proposed to be closed after a debriefing and evaluation at 13.10 WIB. All SAR elements involved were then returned to their respective units.
The elements involved in the SAR operation consisted of Basarnas, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Fire Department, Tagana, health elements, volunteers, the village government, and local residents.
In the operation, the Joint SAR Team used a number of supporting equipment, including Basarnas operational vehicles, trail bikes, ambulances, mountaineering equipment, thermal drones, communication equipment, and personal protective equipment.
