Two landslide victims in Central Aceh referred to RSUDZA
Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Two of the 13 people injured in a landslide in Kampung Sanehen, Central Aceh Regency, on Sunday (13/9) have been referred to the Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital (RSUDZA) in Banda Aceh for further treatment.
“The two victims referred to RSUDZA require intensive care. Meanwhile, the other 11 remain under treatment at the Datu Beru Hospital in Takengon,” said Iwan Ilham Abadi, Head of Logistics, Firefighting, and Rescue at the Central Aceh Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), when contacted from Banda Aceh on Monday.
The two victims referred to RSUDZA, Rosita (61) and Juriani (25), both of whom are pregnant, are suffering from broken legs. Meanwhile, one victim, Nazila, has been buried following her death.
As part of the government’s rapid response and commitment to disaster management, the Regent of Central Aceh, Haili Yoga, personally visited the landslide victims being treated at Datu Beru Hospital and paid his respects at the home of the deceased.
He added that the Central Aceh Regency Government, through the BPBD, the Social Affairs Office, and the local Baitul Mal, has also distributed emergency aid to residents whose homes were affected by the landslide.
The Central Aceh Regency Government is providing serious attention to all victims of the landslide, which resulted in 13 injuries, one death, and damage to four houses.
Previously, the Spokesperson for the Central Aceh Regency Government, Mustafa Kamal, stated that the landslide, triggered by heavy rain, caused the death of nine-year-old Nazila and left 13 other residents injured in Kampung Sanehen, Silih Nara District, Central Aceh Regency, on Sunday (13/9).
“The deceased victim was taken to the family home in Kampung Paya Reje, and the 13 injured residents are being treated at the Datu Beru Hospital,” he said.
