Two Kupang Students Selected to Represent NTT in 2026 National Paskibraka

Two students from Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), have been selected to become members of the National Flag Hoisting Squad (Paskibraka) for 2026. They are Atanasius Meyllano Frans Yogar from SMA Katolik Geovani Kupang and Eighteen Jeanette Hekboy from SMAN 1 Kupang.

The Head of the NTT National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), Noldy Hosea Pellokila, stated that both were the result of a strict selection process conducted by the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP). “Previously, six people, or three pairs, were selected and sent. From BPIP, they chose the one considered the best of the best,” he said on Tuesday (23/6/2026).

Noldy explained that the two students will be dispatched to the training centre in early July 2026. The NTT Provincial Government will manage the process up to the handover at the central level. “At the beginning of July 2026, we will likely escort them to the training centre and we will handle matters until the handover there,” Noldy clarified.

Atanasius and Eighteen are scheduled to begin the centralised training camp (TC) in the second week of July 2026. The TC is held in preparation for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony on 17 August 2026.
