Two killed on Jagorawi tollroad

BOGOR: Two people were killed instantly and another wounded in a traffic accident that took place on the Jagorawi tollroad in Cimahpar, Bogor regency, on Tuesday morning.

Those who died were a 55-year-old passenger of a public minivan and the driver's assistant, while the driver was injured.

The minivan was on its way from the Kramat Jati wholesale market in East Jakarta to Garut, West Java, when it suddenly hit the truck in front, at 3:10 a.m., according to an official of Jasa Marga, the toll operator.

The minivan driver lost control of the vehicle and it skidded to the right. An oil tanker traveling at high speed immediately hit the minivan from behind.

Accidents frequently occur on the Jagorawi tollroad. Last week, two people were killed in a multiple collision that involved five vehicles. -- JP
