Two killed in train crash

CIREBON, West Java: Two persons were instantly killed on Sunday when a train hit their van in Brebes, Central Java.

Three other passengers suffered serious injuries.

The van was passing an unattended railway crossing when the train coming from Surakarta, Central Java, to Jakarta hit the car.

Officials at the Cirebon station said the railway traffic was halted for an hour until the vehicle's wreck could be removed from the track, Antara reported. (par)
