Two Kendari Subdistrict Heads Face Ethics Hearing After Alcohol Party at Office
Two subdistrict heads in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, identified as ZM (53) and RAK (41), will soon face a disciplinary hearing after being caught having an alcoholic drinks party with two women at the Poasia Subdistrict office. “Yes, if proven true, sanctions will certainly be imposed for violations of the ASN code of ethics and discipline,” Kendari City Inspector Sri Yusnita told reporters on Monday (15/6). Yusnita said her office has prepared a disciplinary hearing without needing to first conduct an examination at the inspectorate. “No further examination is needed because the issue is already clear. What will happen next is that both will be processed through a panel hearing for the imposition of ASN disciplinary sanctions; the inspectorate is one of the panel members,” she revealed. For now, Yusnita said, the Kendari City Government is preparing all administrative requirements to expedite the handling of the case. “The administration will be prepared and immediately processed for the hearing on violations of the ASN code of ethics and discipline,” she said. Yusnita stressed that enforcing ASN discipline is part of efforts to maintain public trust in professional and integrity-driven governance. Previously, police officers secured the two subdistrict heads in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, who nearly became targets of residents’ fury after being caught having an alcoholic drinks party at the Poasia Subdistrict Head’s office with women suspected of being commercial sex workers. “Yes, that’s right, officers secured both subdistrict heads along with two women,” said Kendari Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP Welliwanto Malau, on Sunday (14/6). The incident occurred on Friday night (12/6). Poasia Subdistrict Head ZM and Talia Subdistrict Head RAK held a drinking party at the Poasia Subdistrict Head’s office while ordering two women through an application. However, they got into an argument because the agreed price was not met. The quarrel was heard and approached by a number of local residents. The residents became emotional after seeing the government office being used as a location for prostitution. “These two women were ordered through a green application; we are still investigating this,” he stated.
