Two KB Bank (BBKP) Directors Suddenly Resign, What Is Happening?
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk (BBKP) has announced the resignation of two directors, namely Robby Mondong and Dodi Widjajanto. The bank, which is part of the South Korean-based KB Financial Group (KBFG), stated that it has received resignation letters from Robby and Dody from their positions as Retail Director and Compliance Director, effective 3 June 2024.
“The Company’s business and operational activities continue to run normally as usual,” as quoted from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) information disclosure on Monday, (8/6/2024).
The resignation requests will subsequently be decided in the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) in accordance with applicable regulations.
For context, Robby has been part of the KB Bank board of directors since September 2021. Previously, he held several important positions at PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, PT Bank Permata Tbk, and Citi Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Dodi has been a director at KB Bank since September 2020. Before serving as Compliance Director since December 2021, he was responsible for leading wholesale banking. An alumnus of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), he previously had a long career as a banker at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, where he served as regional head for West Java, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
