Two jailed for attack on teenager

BANDUNG: The local district court sentenced one men on Monday
to six years for raping a teenager and another to four years
imprisonment for attempting to rape the same girl.

Arnold Sinaga, 24, and Marison Simbolon, 23, both drivers of a
public transit van, were found guilty of sexually assaulting a
15-year-old passenger, Antara reported.

Two other men who allegedly took part in the gang rape attempt
were still at large, the report said.

The incident occurred one evening last November, when the
girl, who had just arrived in Bandung from Central Java to look
for work, boarded the transit vehicle driven by Arnold.

Marison and two other men were already in the van at the time
and she was the only other passenger. The four men harassed her
in the van and Arnold drove it to some remote farmland near
Rancabolang village.

Testimony during the trial indicated that only Arnold raped
the girl. She was saved from further abuse because local people
heard her screams and caught Arnold and Marison. The other two
