Two INKA CLI-225 Commuter Trainsets Back in the Workshop Yet Again
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Two trainsets of the INKA iE305/CLI-225 commuter train series have once again gone in for repairs, affecting KRL Commuter Line services between Bogor and Jakarta Kota on Monday morning (19 October 2026).
KAI Commuter Vice President of Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda said the operator had again adjusted its operating pattern on the Bogor–Jakarta Kota route. The company apologised for the changes to Commuter Line services.
She said some services had been cancelled because the two trainsets were still being repaired by technical teams from KAI Commuter and INKA. The cause of the trains’ return to the workshop for repairs has not yet been disclosed.
“We are continuing to make the most of the repair time while adhering to the standards for the safety and reliability of the trains before they return to service,” Karina said, quoted from an official statement on Monday (19 October 2026).
Karina added that Monday is the busiest day for passengers, as regular commuters return to their activities after the weekend. She urged passengers using the Bogor–Jakarta Kota route, particularly in the morning, to plan their journeys and reconsider their travel times.
“We urge Commuter Line passengers to plan ahead and consider other available travel times,” Karina said.
KAI Commuter, the mass-transit operator, acknowledged that the cancellations would affect passengers, particularly those travelling on the Bogor line.
“We fully understand the impact on passengers’ comfort. Nevertheless, safety, security and reliability remain our priorities in operating Commuter Line services every day,” Karina said.
KAI Commuter urged passengers to prioritise safety at all times and follow instructions from staff at stations and on trains.
