Police have uncovered a case involving a man who carried out random stabbings in the Cibodas area of Tangerang City. Authorities have recorded two victims of the brutal attacks so far. The first incident occurred on 11 May 2026 on Jalan Sawo X, Cibodasari Urban Village. The victim, Sunarah, had just finished exercising and was riding a bicycle when a motorcyclist approached from behind and touched his back. Initially unaware he had been stabbed, Sunarah only felt a stinging sensation. Upon arriving at his workplace, a colleague discovered a slash wound on his right back, requiring medical examination and a visum. The second attack took place on 9 July 2026 on Jalan Bawang VII. The victim, Malik Zaidan Setiono, was walking to a minimarket when he was allegedly attacked from behind by a motorcyclist. He felt a sharp pain in his right waist and was found to have a bleeding wound that required two stitches. Based on reports from both victims, police conducted an investigation and identified the suspect, known by the initials KM. He was arrested at 11.30 WIB in the Bencongan area, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency. Officers seized a black Honda Beat scooter believed to have been used in the attacks and the clothing worn by the suspect. Investigators are still probing the motive and the possibility of additional victims with similar attack patterns. The public is urged to report any similar experiences or suspicious activity to the nearest police station or the 110 call centre.
