Two Helicopters Deployed in Water Bombing Operation to Extinguish Jatiwaringin Landfill Fire

Two water bombing helicopters and 12 fire engines have been deployed to extinguish a fire at the Jatiwaringin Final Processing Site (TPA) in Mauk District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Thursday (2/7). Entering its third day, strong winds remain the main obstacle in the firefighting process. Several hotspots are still visible, with thick smoke continuing to billow into the air. The Director of Emergency Operations Coordination at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Brigadier General TNI Djohan Darmawan, stated that efforts are being optimised through both ground and air operations.
