The Cimahi City Hajj and Umrah Office has confirmed that four prospective Hajj pilgrims will not be departing for the Holy Land of Mecca to perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year. The postponement of the departure for these two married couples is due to health factors.

This policy is based on the principle of istitha’ah (capability) regarding the health and safety of pilgrims. “Those postponing their departure are four people, a married couple. The reason is illness, and there are also cases where one partner is ill, so they wish to accompany them,” stated the Head of the Cimahi City Hajj and Umrah Office, Nandang Rahayu, when contacted on Saturday (11/4/2026).

With these cancellations, the number of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Cimahi City to be sent to the Holy Land of Mecca this year is 556 people plus four officials. 441 people will depart on 26 April in kloter 7, and 115 people will depart on 7 May via kloter 22, joining with Garut Regency.

“For this year, they will first be sent to the Indramayu Hajj Embarkation and then flown from BIJB (West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati. However, the departure location from Cimahi has not been set yet; it will be discussed with the Cimahi City Government,” said Nandang.

He continued that preparations for the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Cimahi City are 100 percent complete. Especially those related to documents. Luggage has also been distributed to all prospective Hajj pilgrims who will perform the fifth pillar of Islam.

“Alhamdulillah, from the administrative side, everything is complete, such as visas and so on. Luggage has also been distributed to all pilgrims. So, they just need to depart,” Nandang stated.
