A clash between two groups of residents in Tente, Woha Subdistrict, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), erupted on Wednesday (18/3/2026). The confrontation between the residents occurred ahead of the 2026 Eid celebrations.

In the incident, two groups of residents reportedly attacked each other in Cabang Tente starting from Wednesday morning. They hurled stones at one another on the main road and armed themselves with sharp weapons and bows and arrows.

“Tensions have been building since the day before yesterday. But today they finally started attacking each other in Cabang Tente,” said Junaidin (35), a local resident near the clash site, to detikBali.

He advised motorists to avoid the Tente road for the time being. This is because, in addition to the area still being swarmed by the clashing crowds, the road access has been blockaded by burning used tyres in the middle of the road.

“You can’t pass through now. All road access is closed,” he said.

It should be noted that the location of the concentrated clashing crowds is a road access connecting the areas of Belo, Langgudu, Monta, and Parado subdistricts. Nearby are vital facilities such as markets, terminals, and shopping centres.

“Due to this clash, activities at the Tente market and terminal are paralysed. All shops are closed,” said another resident, Sahbudin.

He added that joint apparatus from the TNI, police, and Brimob have already been deployed to the location to defuse the residents’ clash. However, tensions are still ongoing, especially since several people have been hit by thrown stones and arrows.

“There are injuries and people hit by arrows,” he revealed.
