Two Former Deputy Heads of National Nutrition Agency Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung Detained by Attorney General's Office
According to observations at the Attorney General’s Office’s Special Crimes Division (Jampidsus) in South Jakarta on Wednesday (3/6/2026), Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung were seen being led out of the building wearing detention vests. Both former Deputy Heads of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) were handcuffed as they were escorted to a detention vehicle.
This development follows the earlier detention of the former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, by the Attorney General’s Office. While the Attorney General’s Office has not yet provided an official explanation regarding the specific charges against the former BGN leaders, the Chief of Staff to the President, Dudung Abdurachman, confirmed that Dadan’s removal from office was partly triggered by allegations involving the alleged buying and selling of SPPG kitchens (the Makan Bergizi Gratis programme).
‘Yes, it is very likely that is the case; much information has been provided to him (the President),’ Dudung stated at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
When asked specifically whether Dadan was dismissed due to the alleged corruption in the SPPG kitchen procurement, Dudung reaffirmed that it was one of the contributing factors. Meanwhile, investigators from the Attorney General’s Office’s Special Crimes division are currently conducting searches at the National Nutrition Agency headquarters in the Kebon Sirih area, Central Jakarta, where security has been significantly tightened. The Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office’s Information Centre, Mochamad Jeffry, confirmed to reporters that the search of the BGN office is indeed underway.
