Two floods hit Palu in a week

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Residents in Nunu village, West Palu district, were hit by flood on Saturday, the second time in seven days, Antara reported.

The house of Central Sulawesi Governor Paliudju was also affected, where water was 45 centimeters deep. The house's back wall and fence collapsed.

Palu mayoralty spokesman Ibrahim Almahdali said several hundred houses were affected after the Lewara river overflowed. (emb)
