Two elderly women killed in Whoosh feeder train accident in Cimahi
CIMAHI — Two elderly women died after being struck by feeder train 625 on the Bandung-Padalarang route at KM 147+2 in Baros Village, Central Cimahi District, Cimahi City, West Java, on Monday (25 May 2026). Feeder 62 is a dedicated passenger train for the Whoosh High-Speed Rail.
The victims are identified as Kusriyani, 58, a resident of Bapa Ampi Street in Baros Village, Central Cimahi District, and Primaeti Wastuti, 56, from Kalidam Street in Karangmekar Village, Central Cimahi District. Police have inspected the site.
“We received a report of two women being struck by a train at approximately 11.24am WIB. They were found deceased, lying on the railway tracks,” said Iptu Gofur Supangkat, Head of Public Relations for Cimahi Police Residency.
The accident was first reported after the Feeder train’s driver informed the Rail Traffic Controller (PPKA) at Cimahi Station that the train had struck two people at KM 147+2. Upon receiving the alert, station security promptly proceeded to the scene and discovered both victims deceased on the tracks. The incident was subsequently reported to the police for further investigation.
Upon arrival, police conducted an initial external examination. The Cimahi Police Forensic Team confirmed injuries consistent with train impact on the victims’ bodies.
“The bodies of both victims have been transported to the morgue at Cibabat Cimahi Regional Hospital,” Gofur added.
