Two die in toll road accident

JAKARTA: Two people were killed died in a road accident on Jakarta-Cikampek toll road early on Wednesday.

According to witnesses, at about 4:30 a.m., one truck slammed into another that was stalled without occupants in the slow lane at Kilometer 18.

The truck driver, Pandi, 37, and his assistant Dartono, 25, both residents of Indramayu in West Java, died on the scene.

A toll road patrol officer, Sugiyoto, said that the patrol team had placed some orange cones to the back of the stalled truck while a tow truck was en route to the scene when the accident took place. -- JP
