Two die in swollen Cisadane River

BOGOR: Search teams recovered on Thursday the body of two people swept away by a swollen Cisadane River a day earlier.

The body of Dana Atma, 22, a resident of Jl. Layung Sari I in South Bogor subdistrict, was recovered on Thursday morning and taken to the Indonesian Red Cross Hospital in Bogor.

The body of the second victim, identified as Wahyudi, 28, was found later in the afternoon.

The pair reportedly went fishing on the river on Wednesday, and were swept away by the rising waters.

A team from the police's Mobile Brigade began the search for the victims on Wednesday evening. -- JP
