Two die in gas pipe explosion

PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: Two workers died and another
sustained a serious injury Monday when a pipeline owned by PT
Asamerah in Sebokor village, Bayunglincir subdistrict, in Musi
Banyuasin regency exploded.

Provincial police spokesman Lt. Col. Sardjo told journalists
the victims were identified as Armensyah, 25, and Tri Rahardo,
26. They were burned to death.

Another, identified as Hendra, 25, is being treated in
Charitas hospital here.

Sardjo said the three were working at the site when the gas
pipe exploded. The case was being handled by Banyuasin police
precinct, he said as reported by Antara. (aan)
