Jakarta (ANTARA) - Two defendants in the alleged fictitious procurement case for a housing project in 2022–2023, Herry Nurdy Nasution and Didik Mardiyanto, are facing a verdict hearing by the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday.

“The hearing for the PP case, defendant Didik Mardiyanto et al., is scheduled for the reading of the verdict,” said the spokesperson for the Central Jakarta District Court, Andi Saputra, to reporters.

The verdict hearing will be led by Chief Judge I Wayan Yasa.

In the case, Herry and Didik have each been demanded a prison sentence of three years and five years respectively, as well as a fine of Rp200 million or subsidiary one year in prison.

In addition, the public prosecutor also demanded that the two be sentenced to additional punishment in the form of repayment of replacement money.

Meanwhile, Herry is demanded to pay replacement money of Rp10.8 billion, minus the return of that amount, so Herry is no longer burdened with paying the replacement money.

The two defendants are alleged to have caused state losses of Rp46.8 billion by enriching themselves or others or a corporation.

Didik and Herry are suspected of committing unlawful acts, namely managing funds privately outside the accounting records by disbursing company funds using fictitious procurement of goods and services.

The fictitious procurement is alleged to have been carried out in the housing construction project, one of which is the construction of a feronickel smelter in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Then, the Mines of Bahodopi Block 2 and 3 project for PT Vale Indonesia Tbk in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, Sulut-1 Coal FSPP, FSPP Portsite, Mobil Power Plant Package 7 and 8, Bangkanai GEPP 140MW 0, and Manyar Power Line.

The fictitious procurement is alleged to have enriched several parties, namely Didik by Rp35.33 billion, Herry by Rp10.8 billion, and Director of PT Adipati Wijaya Imam Ristianto by Rp707 million.
