Two Defendants in Chromebook Corruption Case Sentenced to 4 and 4.5 Years in Prison
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The defendants in the alleged corruption case regarding the procurement of Chromebook laptops as part of the education digitalisation programme at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) from 2019 to 2022, Mulyatsyah and Sri Wahyuningsih, prepared to attend the verdict reading session at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday (30/4/2026). The panel of judges sentenced the two former subordinates of Nadiem Makarim to prison terms of four and four and a half years. The pair consisted of Sri Wahyuningsih, former Director of Primary Schools at Kemendikbudristek, and Mulyatsyah, former Director of Secondary Schools at Kemendikbudristek.
