Two-day symposium on surveyors' licensing

A two-day exhibition on survey equipment and a symposium on
surveyors' licensing held at the Jakarta Design Center ended
yesterday. Closing ceremonies were conducted by City Mapping and
Surveying Office Head Sidharta.

The symposium, which was opened on Wednesday by Deputy
Governor for Economy and Development TB. M. Rais, featured nine
topic discussions which included standardization, classification
and specification in the field of mapping and surveying, ethic
codes in certification of surveyors, quality control and periodic
evaluation of licensed surveyors.

The symposium was organized by the City Mapping and Surveying
Office in cooperation with the Association of Indonesian Building
Consultants, the Association of Indonesian Holders of Masters'
Degrees in Geodesy, the Association of Indonesian Surveyors and
the Association of Indonesian Mapping and Surveying Companies.
