Two Cameroonians nabbed for fraud

JAKARTA: Police arrested two Cameroonians on Thursday afternoon for allegedly defrauding an Indonesian, causing the victim to suffer US$5,000 or about Rp 45 million in losses.

Nzenda Aime, 34, and Pola Serge, 33, were arrested by Pasar Minggu police officers after Dei Edi Rachmadi, a resident of Jl. Aji Baung, South Jakarta, reported them to the police.

Police are still hunting down other suspects, Bougna Mottou and Eddie Steve, also Cameroonians, and three local women, who have been identified as the suspects' allies in the defraud case.

Dei Edi Rachmadi, who is also a student at the economic and banking school STIE Perbanas, was deceived by the suspects who promised him they would be able to multiply his U.S. dollars.--JP
