Two boys found dead in river

TANGERANG: Two young boys were found dead floating in Cisadane
river in Lebak Wangi village, Neglasari district, early on
Monday.

Identified as Saeful Bahri, 13, and Rian, 11, the boys were
last seen by their friends, all of whom were swimming in the
river on Sunday afternoon.

"The two did not appear when we finished swimming at about 4
p.m. on Sunday. We only found their clothes on the river bank,"
12-year-old Rohman said.

Rohman said he had reported the disappearance of Rian and
Saeful to adults, who later searched for them. But they failed to
find the boys and believed they might have drowned due to the
strong current.

The bodies were sent to the Tangerang General Hospital morgue
for examination.

Over the past several months, a total of five
children have drowned in Tangerang. --JP
