Two bodies found in Bogor

BOGOR (JP): Two male bodies were found here at separate places on Monday.

The first body, identified as an ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver, was found by Pasir Maung villagers residents of Cijayanti hamlet in Citeureup at 6:30 a.m. The second body was discovered a few hours later at kilometer 25 on the Jagorawi toll road in the Gunung Putri area.

The body of the ojek driver had a plastic rope tied around his neck and bruises on his face, which possibly resulted from blows struck with a blunt object, a hospital source said. He was found at a cassava farm near the village.

Anda, an ojek driver at Pomad in Ciluar area, said that the first body was of his colleague, Keneng, 40.

"He usually comes back home at 9 p.m., but last night he didn't appear," Anda said.

The corpse found on the toll road had a deep wound on the back of the head and a barbed wire tied around the neck.

Nobody has claimed the body at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Hospital as of Monday evening.

"At the moment, we suspect that the victim was a taxi driver who was robbed," Bogor Police detectives chief, First Lt. Santun Marpaung, said. (bsr/24)
