Two Bodies Found in Bekasi Ditch Were Brawl Victims, Not Robbery Targets: Police
Police have revealed developments in the discovery of two male bodies in a drainage ditch on Jalan Mustikajaya, Cimuning, Bekasi City, West Java. The two individuals were involved in a brawl. “We are also clarifying that the incident in Bekasi City was not a victim of street crime or robbery. Rather, it was due to the impact of a brawl that took place,” said Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Head, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Monday (22/6). He stated that the victims were attacked with sharp weapons. Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the case. Previously, police had moved to investigate the discovery of the two bodies. Bekasi City Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKBP Andi M Iqbal, confirmed the arrests on Saturday (20/6), noting that detailed examinations were ongoing. The discovery of the bodies went viral on social media on Friday (19/6), with initial reports falsely claiming the two men were victims of a robbery.
