NUSAKAMBANGAN, Central Java: Local fishermen on Thursday found the already decomposed bodies of Ngudiono, 45, and Muhammad Arsan, 12, floating off Nusakambangan beach.

Atas Munandar who led the rescue team bringing the bodies to land said that Ngudiono was a fisherman who worked for Syaiful Anwar. On Sunday, he and two friends went fishing on Syaiful's boat.

Bad weather overturned the boat. Ngudiono, who has epilepsy, went missing, while his two friends survived.

Munandar suspected that Muhammad Arsan probably fell from a bridge across the Serayu River and was carried out to sea.

In Bandung, West Java, the naked body of a 17-year old man was found floating on a 1.5-meter deep pond in front of the Cikutra Heroes Cemetery on Thursday.

Police did not find any marks of violence or injuries on the body, and suspected that the man probably drowned. A neatly- folded stack of clothes was found near the pond, Antara reported. (wah/swe)
