Two Biskita Bogor Bus Stops Temporarily Deactivated Following Angkot Driver Protests

The Bogor City Transportation Department (Dishub) has temporarily deactivated two Biskita bus stop points on Jalan Raya Tajur-Ciawi, Bogor City. The measure was taken to maintain a conducive atmosphere after the addition of bus stops was protested by urban transport (angkot) drivers.

“That is correct, there are two bus stop points that we have deactivated for now, temporarily,” said Doddy Wahyudin, Head of the Transportation Division at the Bogor City Dishub, on Friday (3/7/2026).

Doddy explained that eight bus stop points had been built along Jalan Raya Tajur to serve Biskita passengers on Corridor 2, which runs the Bubulak-Ciawi route. The construction of these bus stops was subsequently protested by drivers of angkot route 21, leading to the decision to deactivate two of the stops.

“This policy was adopted as part of efforts to maintain order on the ground, as well as to follow up on the aspirations conveyed by the urban transport drivers of route 21,” Doddy said.

“From the various demands submitted regarding the deactivation of the eight bus stops, the Bogor City Government, through the Transportation Department, has only accommodated the deactivation of two bus stop points, namely Wangun and Biotrop,” he added.

It was previously reported that a number of angkot drivers and owners staged a demonstration at the Bogor City Dishub. They demanded that eight bus stops or stopping points spread across several locations be deactivated.

“So earlier there were approximately 100 drivers and angkot owners. They demanded the deactivation of eight bus stops that we installed two to three months ago,” said Dody Wahyudin, Head of the Transportation Division at the Bogor City Dishub, on Monday (29/6/2026).

He explained that his department had activated 85 bus stops, including those on corridor 2, which is traversed by angkot route 21. According to the angkot drivers, the additional bus stops have caused their income to decline drastically.

“So Dishub has activated around 85 bus stops, including one on corridor 2 along route 21. They are demanding action because, with the addition of these bus stops, their income has dropped drastically,” he said.
