Bengkulu (ANTARA) - Two Hajj pilgrims from Bengkulu are still receiving treatment in Saudi hospitals as they prepare to return to Indonesia following the peak Hajj rituals in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).

The 24-hour health services provided by the Bengkulu Provincial Hajj Health Team (TKHK) are ensuring pilgrims’ health remains stable until their departure, said Kurniawan Arianto Abdul Gani, Head of the Hajj Health Programme at the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office (Dinkes), on Monday.

He identified the two patients: Umi Kasnini Rasyid Dersai, 63, from Bengkulu City, treated at Al Noor Hospital in Makkah, and Mardiah Saiun Idris, 84, from Seluma Regency, at Makkah Medical Centre.

According to Siskohatkes reports and TKHK Bengkulu’s direct updates, as of 1 June 2026, 1,344 Bengkulu pilgrims had been deployed to Saudi Arabia, with two recorded deaths in the Holy Land.

Additionally, 145 high-risk pilgrims received a total of 4,825 health visits. The most common diagnoses included acute respiratory infections (ISPA), hypertension, diabetes mellitus, pharyngitis, stomatitis and conjunctivitis.

Kurniawan urged pilgrims to maintain health post-Armuzna by following Hajj officials’ guidance, consuming one packet of oral rehydration salts daily, drinking 200cc of water hourly, and using personal protective equipment when outside the hotel.

He also stated that TKHK Bengkulu would conduct a third-phase ground check, a comprehensive health assessment for all pilgrims before their return home.
