Two Balinese Youths Selected for 2026 National Paskibraka

The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) has appointed 76 members of the national Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka) to represent all provinces in Indonesia. Bali is represented by two of its finest young people: I Made Dwi Sathya Kurniawan and Ni Komang Gayatri Dinda Gita Arsani. Made Dwi is a son of Badung, born on 8 January 2010. The teenager from Sempidi is currently in his first year at SMAN 1 Kuta Utara. Meanwhile, Komang Gayatri is a daughter of Tianyar Village, Kubu, Karangasem. She was born on 21 September 2009. Komang is a student at SMAN 1 Kubu. Basketball and badminton are sports she enjoys. The Head of the National Insight Ideology and National Character Division of the Bali National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), I Komang Kusumaedi, said the Bali Provincial Government sent three pairs of Paskibraka candidates for selection at the national level. The selection process was conducted over five days to determine who would represent the Island of the Gods at the Palace on 17 August 2026. ‘And the selection results are also in line with their abilities, the best in the rankings from psychometric tests and other selection stages,’ said Edi on Tuesday (23/6/2026). ‘And that is, as everyone knows, the best chosen by the central BPIP for the national Paskibraka, these two individuals,’ he continued. Edi said that Paskibraka candidates who did not pass the national selection will serve as flag-raisers at the provincial level. ‘The same as previously at the provincial level, 90 people from regencies/cities who did not pass at the provincial level were reassigned to the regency/city level,’ Edi stated.
