Two Astra International Directors Buy Shares at About Rp6,547 per Share
Jakarta – Two senior executives of automotive conglomerate PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) have purchased 962,000 ASII shares at an average price of Rp6,547 per share, for a total of around Rp6 billion. According to information disclosed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), cited on Friday (6 March 2026), the trades were conducted between 27 February and 2 March 2026. Previously, one of ASII’s directors, Gidion Hasan, increased his stake in the automotive issuer, buying 700,000 shares. Citing BEI disclosure, the purchase occurred on 27 February 2026 when ASII shares were priced at Rp6,631 per share. It states that the purpose of the purchase is for investment with direct ownership and not part of a repurchase agreement. Accordingly, Gidion’s shareholding rose to 6,765,000 shares or 0.0167% of voting rights from 6,065,000 shares or 0.015% of voting rights. The report also emphasised that this transaction does not alter control and was not conducted within an organized group scheme.
