Two abandon car stashed with drugs

JAKARTA: The Jakarta Police Highway Patrol confiscated 99
packages of marijuana from a jeep on Tuesday, but failed to
apprehend the driver and the passenger.

The police narcotics division unit Comr. Carlo Tewu said that
an officer stopped the Daihatsu Taft, which was travelling at
high speed along the Cikampek toll road.

After the driver and passenger became nervous, the officer
searched the vehicle.

"He found the marijuana hidden under the back seat. However,
while he was searching the vehicle, the two suspects ran away,"
Carlo explained.

The vehicle and drugs have been seized are being held by the
