Twelve tae kwon doins train in Korea

SEMARANG, Central Java: Twelve tae kwon doins from Central Java will be heading to South Korea on Friday to participate in a one-month training camp ahead of the National Games (PON) in September.

The traveling team comprises seven women and five men.

"The outing is expected to forge further their skill for the PON in Palembang," Yahya Patu, an official of the Central Java Tae kwon do Association, said here on Thursday.

Yahya said that the team would look for six gold medals in Palembang. "We are looking to improve our count from Surabaya (PON 2000) where we won four golds." --JP
