'TVRI' comments on blue movies
From Kompas
In response to the frequent public complaints about the appearance of blue movies on TVRI's Program 2 over the last few months, we would like to clarify that the broadcasts, found before and after Program 2, come from ordinary VCD players.
We have discovered that such players have an RF output in addition to their video and audio outputs. The RF output is precisely in the area or location where the channel for Program 2 is allocated.
TV receivers that are not equipped with video and audio inputs can be connected to VCD players via antennas. When the players are used, the signals enter the TV sets and, at the same time, are transmitted via the antennas. The signals so broadcast can be received by TV sets around the players.
Therefore, it is advised that those who have such players should avoid playing pornographic VCDs, or, if they wish to view such movies, the receiving antenna should first be disconnected, so that their neighbors will not be "forced" to see such films.
