The various television dramas with teenage themes broadcast by
private TV stations have created new behavior in social life,
which causes alienation from the nation's oriental culture,
particularly among youths.

The dramas depicting school students' daily activities, for
instance, are incompatible with the realities in our society,
such as their dress style, speech and association with peers.
This phenomenon is certainly contrary to the Indonesian culture.

Therefore, the government and television broadcasting
authorities should limit TV drama stories with negative
portrayals of teenage and student life, so as not to adversely
affect the behavior of our younger generation.
