Although foreign film serials seem to dominate our TVs,
viewers are no less enthusiastic about watching programs produced
by national producers. Some of our TV programs have good enough
plots and are directed well.

However, it should also be admitted that some of the
Indonesian programs are nauseating, styleless and illogical
garbage.

Family feuds almost invariably start with abductions. Why
abductions? I don't think our culture is that bad. Can't the
producers formulate other themes to develop conflict, like some
psychological phenomenon, or tragic historical facts which might
be more touching? Of course, such plots would call for more
skill.
