Tutor Arrested for Sexually Abusing 29 Children Using Internet Quota Lure

A man with the initials AK, aged 28, has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing dozens of children in Panongan, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The suspect, who worked as a private tutor, is alleged to have abused 29 underage boys.

Kasi Humas Polresta Tangerang, Ipda Tri Laksono Febrianto, stated that AK was arrested on 26 June 2026 at his rented house in the Panongan area, which is also where the crimes were committed.

‘There are around 29 victims,’ Ipda Tri said in a statement to reporters on Friday, 24 July 2026.

The abuse is reported to have occurred from April 2026 until mid-June 2026. According to police, the perpetrator used a specific modus operandi to target his victims, who were all male children.

‘The modus operandi was to lure the victims with promises of pocket money and internet quota,’ Tri added.
