TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Representattives from six Turkish corporations in negotiation for cooperation and investments in Indonesia with seven indonesian firms has visited Jakarta today for further talks a month the first signings of Memorandum of Understanding during President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's visit to Istanbul last month.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Radjasa said "Today six delegates from Turkish companies came to follow up a previous agreement made when SBY was there." Hatta said the nature of the deals are more of a joint partnership than a free trade agreement which is projected to increase trade value between the to nations to US$5 billion by 2012 and "US$10 billion by 2014."

The bussines to bussines agreements signed in Turkey were between PT. Alfa Global Resources (Indonesia) and Turkish Cengiz Contruction and Industry Co. in construction sector including airport development; Indonesian PT Geo Power and Cengiz Holding Co. Group in geothermal; PT Indonesia Mitra Jaya and Ceniz Holding Co. Group in construction, energy, mining, metallurgy, tourism and machinery; Indonesian PT Turkindo Makmur Abadi and Turkish The Ulusoy Un Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. in flour factory; Indonesian PT Industri Kawasan Jababeka Tbk and Turkish Ajans Press; Indonesian PT Wira Cipta Sukses and Turkish Tav Havalimanlari Holding A.S in airport design, construction and operation; and Indonesian PT Istana Prima Karya (Indonesia) and Turkish Ulasgida Co. in flour factory construction.

Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) also agreed with the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of the Republic of Turkey to improve trade and industrial ties through investments and joint ventures.

While both governments are discussing Visa on Arrivals facility to boost number of visits by citizens from both countries.
