Jakarta — The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has launched the Tunasdigital.id website as a reference for members of the public seeking guidance on protecting children whilst engaging in digital spaces.

Parents can utilise the site to learn what children can and cannot access in digital spaces and how to guide their children in using digital platforms healthily.

According to a ministry press release confirmed on Saturday, the Director-General of Public Communication and Media at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, stated that Tunasdigital.id represents the state’s commitment to providing a safe digital space for children.

“Tunasdigital.id affirms the state’s presence in protecting children in digital spaces. We have prepared this site as a reference that is easily understood by parents and families about how to guide children in the digital era,” she said.

Fifi explained that Tunasdigital.id provides practical guidance on how to recognise risky harmful content, understand age restrictions for applications and games, and guide children in using devices healthily.

“Tunasdigital.id serves as a knowledge channel for parents to understand how to guide children in the digital era. It is not about restricting children’s use of technology, but delaying access until children are truly ready,” she said.

The site contains recommendations about applications and games suitable for different age groups, guidance on filtering digital content, advice on child rearing in the digital era, and ways to protect children’s personal data from exploitation or abuse risks online.

Fifi hopes that Tunasdigital.id can become a shared learning space for parents.

“Here they can find simple explanations of policies, whilst also finding practical guidance that can be directly implemented at home,” she said.

Tunasdigital.id has been launched to support the implementation of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs Regulation Number 9 of 2026 concerning the Implementation Regulations for Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic Systems in Child Protection (PP Tunas).

The regulation, which includes restricting access for children under 16 years old to high-risk digital platforms, will be enforced in stages beginning 28 March 2026.

The government has issued PP Tunas and provided Tunasdigital.id so that Indonesian children can grow into a generation that is digitally literate, capable of discerning information and maintaining ethics in digital spaces, and using technology safely and responsibly.
